Kind-hearted Fjord mare - With a heavy heart I am selling my beloved mouse. Resi is 10 years old and has been by my side since she was 1 1/2.
As mentioned above, she is a good-hearted horse with whom you can really do anything. She has very good gaits and is also listed in the studbook with a score of 7.83. These gaits were also commented on when she was entered in the studbook with the words "in my 30 years of experience, this is the strongest moving Fjord mare I have ever seen". She also produces these gaits under saddle, but on her first rides she is often asking "do I really have to?". However, if you tell her clearly right from the start "yes, you're going now", this works without any problems. She doesn't buck or do anything else naughty, she just walks slowly. When riding, she is a very fine and sensitive horse that notices the slightest shift in weight or change in breathing. She carries out every clear command with joy and motivation and always gives her best. Jumping is also possible with her, but this still needs to be practiced further, as we have only done 40 cm so far (more because of me). When jumping, she starts motivated and directly towards the obstacle and now jumps over it quite well. There is still plenty of room for improvement in both dressage and jumping and you can achieve a lot with her. We have also prepared for our first tests and competitions, so this shouldn't be a problem. She has also taken away many people's fear of horses or riding with her loving nature. She is also a wonderful horse to handle in general. You can lead her on a loose lead without any problems, she lifts her hooves very well, often she already has the next one up after I have put the previous one down. She doesn't bite, doesn't kick, can be touched anywhere and does everything. Resi is used to both dogs and children, some of whom have scampered loudly under her belly. She is also well-behaved at the farrier and vet (injections etc. are no problem at all, she also loves worming treatment) and after the last loading training she also gets into the trailer well. When lunging (both free and on the lunge line) she now reacts purely to voice commands and body language. She can also be stopped at any time.
Now to the somewhat difficult points: She was diagnosed with mild asthma at the age of 8. However, this does not restrict her and is not really there if she is kept correctly (dust-free bedding, good hay and enough exercise). We haven't had any problems for over a year. An inhaler would also be available for this and is sold separately (but I haven't needed it for over a year). She also had hoof cancer on both front legs over a year ago due to mud and poor mucking out in her old stable. However, this has healed completely. A vet once said that she had spavin, but I had never heard of it and think it's a wrong diagnosis.
All accessories are included in the sale (saddle, bridle, breastplate, saddle pads etc.). However, these items are not included in the purchase price, as not everyone wants everything. For me, space is more important than price, but I won't give it away and it has a certain value. However, the price is negotiable. I just want to find the best home for her.
