Icelander, Icelandic horse, mare with all accessories - I hereby sell my 11 year old Icelandic mare Stelpa fra Højvang.
Stelpa is an affectionate and sensitive mare with a lot of go and clearly separated gaits. Unfortunately, due to a lack of training, her tölt is no longer as beautiful as it used to be and is quite passable. However, this can be improved with the right training.
Stelpa would also be interesting for breeding due to her pedigree. Both parents are very good four-gaited horses. Her sire, Gumi frá Strandarhöfõi (8.28), is rated 9.5 for tölt & 9 for trot, spirit, form and slow tölt and Stelpa's dam, Bylgja, is rated 8.5 for slow tölt, slow canter and trot.
Stelpa is 1.37m tall and free of eczema.
Stelpa has the potential to compete in heavier classes. I can imagine her as a future competition horse as well as a leisure horse.
Due to her speed, however, she is not suitable as a beginner's horse.
I would like to find her a forever home, preferably in an open stable in a small group. However, she is also familiar with overnight stabling.
She is not for sale in pure stabling.
