Beautiful tinker mare - Hello everyone. Unfortunately I have to part with my mare Cherry with a heavy heart because we just can't find each other and I don't have the necessary time for her. Cherry is about 155cm tall and is 18 years young and fit as a fiddle. She lives with me in an open stable which is very good for her. She also knows the box but only at night with lots of exercise during the day. At the moment she is on a very large pasture with about 30 other horses. Cherry is very compatible with large and small horses. Unfortunately, she has just been standing around recently because I don't have the time to look after her as much as she needs. Cherry has been with me since January 2019. She must have had some bad experiences in her previous life. She is absolutely not suitable for beginners/novices or unsure riders. Cherry needs someone who is willing and able to invest a lot of time and love in her. She is very sweet and calm to handle but if she doesn't like something she tries to run away but is never nasty or anything like that. She is great to load and she rides on the trailer without any problems. Unfortunately she is reluctant to give her hooves, the farrier should be calm and loving and bring time with us, it always works if we distract her with treats, carrots etc. then it is no problem. She is very suspicious and it takes a while to gain her trust, so it is difficult to get her out of the pasture/paddock at first as she likes to run away as soon as she sees the halter. However, this will subside if you spend more time with her. She also doesn't like brushing because she doesn't like the noise some brushes make and here too she sometimes tries to run away if you do it slowly and calmly. Cherry has been ridden but should only be worked from the ground at first to build up her confidence and muscles etc. as she has not been moved for a long time and riding is not her thing. She loves to be worked from the ground. If you have any further questions, we can discuss this further. I am looking for someone who is aware of the task and is looking for a horse with whom you could go through thick and thin if you care more than I do. Cherry loves to be worked from the ground.
